Bur Oak Grove
Bur Oak Grove (located 1mile east of Towanda Barnes Rd. on the north side of Ireland Grove Rd.) is being planted in partnership with The Grove on Kickapoo Creek and Bloomington Parks and Recreation. This grove is being planted in Bloomington's Kickapoo Park at the Grove. There are already over a dozen Bur Oaks 300-400 years old in this new city park. These "sentinels" of the prairie will be joined by dozens of new hardwood trees. Many of these new trees will be Bur Oak. As soon as the grove design has been finalized, we will post the list of trees here. Check back often!
